is a reformed product of a lifetime of way too much conditioned schooling, religion and cultural norms who began the earth-shattering rethinking process upon the birth of her first child decades ago.

Intuitively drawn to the comfort and safety of a homebirth despite the influx of naysaying advice
from all those more experienced in the world than I, I chose instead to follow my gut. My first child was born lovingly and peacefully at home. Only hours after his birth, deeply entranced in postpartum bliss, I  was struck by a lightening bolt question "I wonder what else they were wrong about?"

This began a revolutionary and profoundly enlightening process of - yup, questioning everything.  28 years have elapsed since that moment and I look back on my BC (before children) life as a past life that bears virtually no resemblance to the life I lead now - one of no fear, maximum resourcefulness, confidently thriving with freedom to think, do and act on my own terms.  What a grand life it is.

I am the founder and producer of the international conference on Rethinking Everything, now in its 15th year and held every Labor Day weekend in Dallas, TX .  By design, the conference nurtures individual freedom with maximum responsibility, self design, entrepreneuring, wellness off the medical grid, eschewing all cultural conformities.

Who knows transformation better than the straight - A student turned whole-life unschooling mother and advocate?

How does a family thrive in bustling suburbia and yet rarely check the time?

What spurs the evolution from traditional social expectations and norms to supporting children in an environment of equal respect and complete autonomy?

What is the story of the registered nurse whose family lives in joy and health without ever seeing an allopathic physician?

How is it possible to live in a reality of peace, social connection, earth awareness, energetic balance, and true bliss even as the wheels of production and societal expectation turn?

Why choose discomfort over complacency?

That's me, Sarah Parent.
